General Info

Tucked away in the heart of Nottingham, Enat Café offers a warm and inviting introduction to Ethiopian cuisine that feels both comforting and refreshingly different. From the moment you step inside, there’s a sense of authenticity-not just in the decor, but in the aromas drifting from the kitchen and the friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

The menu is thoughtfully curated, balancing traditional flavors with options that suit a variety of preferences. One standout is the Fasting Vegan Platter, a vibrant spread that showcases the depth of Ethiopian plant-based cooking. Each component feels carefully prepared, with rich spices and textures that make every bite interesting. It’s a great choice whether you follow a vegan diet or simply want something wholesome and satisfying.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Kitfo delivers a bold and memorable experience. Known for its rich seasoning and unique preparation, it’s a dish that reflects the heart of Ethiopian culinary tradition. Paired with freshly made accompaniments, it’s easy to see why this dish is often highlighted in reviews of the café.

Beyond the food, the services here add to the overall appeal. The option for no-contact delivery is especially convenient, making it easy to enjoy their dishes from home without compromising on quality. If you prefer dining in, the café is equally suited for a casual lunch or a relaxed meal with family. It’s also good for kids, which makes it a practical choice for a variety of diners.

Coffee lovers will appreciate the offerings as well. Ethiopian coffee has a reputation for being rich and aromatic, and the selections here live up to that expectation. It pairs perfectly with the café’s healthy options, creating a balanced dining experience that feels both indulgent and nourishing.

What stands out most is how everything comes together-the menu, the location, and the overall vibe. It’s the kind of place you might stumble upon once and then keep returning to, not just for the food, but for the feeling it leaves behind.

“ The food was delicious! The tea was perfectly brewed and was very refreshing. The service was excellent. It was our first time trying Ethiopian cuisine and they showed us how to have it and explained all the dishes ”

- Mags -

“ Good Ethiopian food served by a very nice lady. We shared a Vegetarian combination which has salad, a lentil stew, yellow peas, beet root and gomen (collard greens). They were all tasty. They were generous with the injera (the fermented pancake like bread made from teff) twice bringing us extra. The restaurant is nicely decorated with Ethiopian things. ”

- Gary Brazel -

“ This beautiful and humble restaurant is an absolute JEWEL. My vegan dishes were all delicious, perfectly cooked and wonderfully presented. Easy atmosphere and lovely service. ”

“ Was our first time trying ethiopian food and we absolutely loved it. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the host, who was happy to explain all we needed to know. We shared the special between 3 of us which was a great way to try lots of different things all of which were delicious. Very generous portions meant we couldn't quite finish and they were kind enough to bag up the leftovers. Overall a very tasty meal and lovely atmosphere, would highly recommend. ”

- Billy Nash -

“ My first time having Ethiopian food and Enat Cafe did not disappoint! We shared a platter for about $20 and were so full, they even kept bringing out injera for the table. All of the meat was so flavorful and delicious! ”
